Masked robbers uprooted an entire ATM unit early on February 26 at a village in Dhule district in Western India.

Police responded to an automated alert within 10 minutes of the theft but by then the thieves had escaped with the machine containing notes worth around 20,000 US dollars.

A CCTV camera at the ATM kiosk owned by the Central Bank of India filmed a man covered in a blanket tying the ATM to a van with a cable.

He and his accomplices effortlessly uprooted the machine and dragged it outside the kiosk shattering a glass door. They then loaded it into the van and fled the scene.

Police said they have formed a special squad to catch the burglars.
