A stranded white dolphin was rescued by police from shallow waters in southern China.

Filmed in the morning on May 3, the video showed that a Chinese white dolphin was stranded in the shallow water area.

Policemen were called to the scene and tied some clothes around the white dolphin. They held up the umbrella to keep the dolphin from getting sunburn. To avoid the suffocation of the white dolphin, the policemen lifted the dolphin’s head out of the water

After seven hours of intensive rescue, the white dolphin swam away with the tide at around 4 p.m.

The video was filmed in Guangdong province and provided by local media.
