Chinese officials close bridge after it begins shaking like a wave due to strong winds
A bridge started shaking like waves due to strong winds today on May 5 in southern China.
The CCTV footage captured in Guangdong province, Humen Bridge abnormally undulated and jittered like waves.
For safety reasons, the bridge has remained closed since this afternoon.
A staff member of Guangdong Humen Bridge Co., Ltd. told local media that strong winds are the main reason for the abnormal shaking and the citizens don’t have to panic.
According to relevant statistics, the wind this afternoon was between level 5 and level 6.
