Two British men were injured in a car crash in Pattaya, eastern Thailand, on Sunday morning (May 3).

Police said a 40-year-old Brit was driving a modified black Subaru car when he swerved to avoid hitting a car that ran into the road.

He then hit an oncoming Honda PCX motorcycle knocking the 54-year-old British rider into nearby bushes on the road.

Paramedics arrived and rushed the injured man to the hospital. He had a broken left leg and several wounds.

Onlookers told the police that they saw the car suddenly change lanes then hit the motorcycle.

Officers took the driver to the station to test him for alcohol and drugs while the case is assessed.

Police Colonel Chanaphat Nawaluck said: "The police will investigate the accident by questioning more witnesses and interviewing the injured rider when he is stable.''
