Monster sinkhole swallows up farm in northern India

In an unusual incident, the soil in farmland started sinking deep as 20 ft leaving the farm owner and his neighbours panicked in the north Indian state of Rajasthan.

The incident took place in Sri Dungargarh town of Bikaner district on May 5.

The video shows, the soil in the farmland sinking on its own and the entire affected landed being marked with rope surrounded.

According to the reports, the reason for the sinking of soil within yet unknown, experts say it could be because of geographical movement.

The same scenario was witnessed by the farmers few years ago they filled the ditch with mud and covered it. Earlier it had sunk below 100 ft deep and now it has happened in the same place again.

This created a panicked situation among others as it continues to sink by itself.

And there are many rumours also doing the rounds in the locality.
