Drunk man climbs electric pole on seeing cops in southern India
Police officials in southern India's Tamil Nadu successfully managed to convince a man to climb down an electric pole after the latter threatened to jump.
The incident took place in Thrichendur of Thoothukudi district on May 7.
The video shows, the man on top of an electric pole and threatening the cops by declaring his intention to jump.
According to the reports, the man was intoxicated and nagged passersby to give him money for buying a bottle of alcohol.
Bemused by it, one of them informed the cops who rushed to the spot.
Seeing the officials, the man decided to scale the pole and not come down until the police had left.
The cops, however, managed to convince the man to come down and sent him home.
