A resident at this apartment block in Mumbai's Kandivali neighbourhood witnessed the rare presence of an unexpected guest after a peacock came knocking on a window.

The incident took place in western India's Maharashtra on May 9.

According to local reports, the bird arrived at the doorstep of the apartment, knocking on a glass window with its beak.

Footage shows the bird with its vibrant tail and colourful feathers in front of the glass window.

Local reports have suggested the peacock was enthralled by its own reflection.

Several wild animals have been seen venturing into residential areas and streets since the coronavirus lockdown has begun across the nation.
