A baby reptile was found in the bathroom of a local government complex in Padang, the capital of Indonesia's West Sumatra province on June 3.

Footage shows two men rescue a baby crocodile from the bathroom floors and tie its mouth closed.

According to local media, the two-month-old crocodile measured 80 centimeters and was handed over to a local "conservation of natural resources" team.

Hendri, who found the animal said, "I was very surprised when I entered the bathroom to take a shower, so I called the rescue party."

The rescuers said, "We suspect that the crocodile entered from the residents' kitchen through an open door, then went into the bathroom."

According to the West Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA), "These crocodiles a currently rare in the province of West Sumatra and are one of the protected animals.

"The local residents are suspicious that the crocodile was kept and got loose. We will investigate the potential crocodile owner."
