The Artbox on Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok, Thailand, had recently become one of the busiest places in the area each night, drawing in young Thais and tourists to its assortment of food and drinks stalls. Now it's a ghost town after four months of coronavirus restrictions in the country. Like other nightlife venues, the Artbox closed towards the end of March. Even though Thai officials allowed restaurants to reopen this month, as of June 12, the market remained deserted due to the lack of tourists in the country. Thailand has been slowly easing its coronavirus lockdown measures but remains cautious, with the country's nightlife and tourist industry still closed with no date set for it to granted permission to operate again.
