Deep-fried insects 00:00 - 01:00

Carts selling deep-fried insects can be found around Bangkok. They’re a popular snack at carnivals and food markets
Locals love eating them with beer. Insects contain lots of protein!

Grilled scorpion 01:00 - 02:00

Deep-friend scorpions are not a normal Thai snack! However, they can be found at busy tourist spots. Khaosan Road and Chinatown often sell these unusual arachnids.

Pig brain soup 02:00 - 03:00

A restaurant in China town has been selling pig brain soup for 60 years. The dish originates from China but is popular with Thai locals.
Hundreds of people eat it for their lunch every day. They say it’s a super food.

Deep-fried cobra snake 04:00 - 05:00

This bustling restaurant keeps cobras in a concrete pit. The owner chooses the snakes then skins them alive and chops their body into pieces. Astonishingly, the snake's tail and flesh still wriggles around up until the moment they are placed into a pan to be deep-fried. The little-known restaurant is popular with locals who believe the fresh snake meat brings powerful health benefits.

Stingrays 05:00 - 06:00

Barbecued baby sting rays are one of the least strange foods from Bangkok. The seafood snacks are placed between grills to keep them flat while they cook over hot coals. After grilling the string rays, the vendor cuts them into smaller bite-sized pieces using scissors. Customers then enjoy the sweet and salty roadside snack by dipping it into a spicy hot vinegar sauce with herbs and chilis.
