A large swarm of locusts descended on the village of Pulasar in Churu district in an attempt to devour the locals' crops.

Footage filmed around 9 am on July 21 shows thousands of insects in the air as residents are heard banging pots and pans to rid the area of the plague of insects.

One local said that the insects were above the villages for up to 45 minutes.

At 9.00 am the villagers started seeing the swarns of locust in the sky of Pulasar village in Churu district. Almost entire village ran to their fields with , speakers and Thali ( utensil that used to eat food) with sticks to get rid of locust.

A resident of village named Surya Prakash Pandia told that the swarns of locust remained in the sky for alomst period of 45 minutes and entire farmer community is going to face an another crisis in the Covid pandemic.
