Commuter numbers continue to rise as confidence in face masks encourages a return to work in London

On the 15th June wearing a face covering on public transport became law. Since the implementation of face coverings there has been an increase in people using public transport across the UK and most notably in London.

Public transport has seen a dramatic decline since March when the UK lockdown began. Since April the numbers of commuters using the London underground has gradually risen. July has seen the largest rise people using the underground since the easing of lockdown restrictions in the UK.

With the introduction of compulsory face coverings for people entering shops being introduced today (Friday 24th June). It is hoped that the UK economy will see a vital spike upwards as public confidence returns to the high streets.
