The Population and Civil Registry Office, which is located at Jalan Sultan Alauddin, Makassar, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, have been open starting today, Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Special, for collecting and printing electronic identity cards.

Previously, this office was closed due to a lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19. All employees work from home and only serve registration via the website.

Today, the Makassar population and civil registry office is able to serve residents who will make Identity Cards. However, they still have to meet the standards of the Covid-19 preventive health protocol.

Before entering the office, people were asked to check their body temperature, and in the office there were limited queues and had to do social distancing.

Service counters are also fitted with dividers between visitors and employees.

Head of the Makassar City Population and Civil Registry Service, Aryati Puspasari Abady, said "that starting today, she has started to open after more than 5 months of lockdown and only serves through the website. On this day, services were limited to the collection and printing of electronic ID cards.

So far, services have been carried out at the PTSP Makassar City Hall office, and starting today it is also open at the Jalan Sultan Alauddin office. The total that can be served per day for two places is 500 people." she said. (*)
