Elephant Calf jumps playfully after naming ceremony amidst hundreds of spectators in southern India.

Hundreds of spectators gathered to watch the naming ceremony of the newly born elephant calf during an occasion held at Srimanjunatha temple Dharmasthala, Dakshina kannada.

The baby calf was named 'Shivani' by the priests at the temple after which the baby tusker was seen playfully enjoying in a pool of water specially installed for it.

The baby jumps and plays as hundreds of spectators watch the cute moment of the little calf in joy.

The baby first digs its trunk in the bucket of water and then jumps in the pool. Immediately rushes towards the camerapersons who came to record the official event.

The camerapersons soon lifts their tripod and makes a way for the little one.

later, the temple worker fixes the pool and even ties blue and white balloon on its head to mark the auspicious moment as the calf plays with the pool water in joy.
