Seven-month-old green vervet monkey Mojo absolutely loves his baths at the end of the day, and frequently nods off while being bathed.

The clip, filmed on September 21 in Madison County, shows Mojo getting a hair wash with a shower attachment, before slowly closing his eyes in utter bliss.

Mojo's owner Carlos explained to Newsflare: "It has been great having Mojo! But it is a lot of work and time. Having a monkey isn’t like having a dog or cat that we keep as pets here. We have to be with him 24/7 to care for him just like a baby.

"The bond we have together is very strong due to all the time we spend together. Monkeys are not for everyone!! We love Mojo and couldn’t picture him not being with us."

Mojo loves baths time to relax and unwind after a long day.

Why did you get a monkey? My wife and I always wanted one. It started out as a joke and as you see it came to real life.

Did you rescue him? No we bought him from a breeder. There is only one place you can get one from in the USA. A lot of places in the states monkeys are illegal to own. Luckily our state isn’t one of them.
