Elephant mistakenly eats plastic bag thrown by tourist in China
An elephant ate a plastic bag thrown by a tourist, mistaking it for food, in southwestern China's Kunming on October 7.
The video, filmed at Kunming Zoo, shows an elephant putting an apple wrapped in a plastic bag into its mouth and swallowing them after a tourist threw it into the animal's enclosure.
According to the zoo, every enclosure has a "no feeding" notice board and most tourists follow the rules.
The elephant is alright and the zoo can only criticise and educate the tourist.
