Humpback whale breaches just a few feet away from kayakers in Antarctica
A huge humpback whale breached just a few feet in front of kayakers in an incredible close encounter in Antarctica.
Filmed on January 9, the video shows the huge marine mammal rise to the water's surface almost within touching distance from the kayakers.
The filmer, Zet Freiburghaus, said: "This day the weather wasn't perfect when we went out kayaking so only three clients wanted to go. The rest were unhappy with their decision after we had the meeting of a lifetime surrounded by whales for two hours in the afternoon."
