On a train from Chatham to St. Pancras, London, in 2020 a woman claimed an elderly man told her to "get out of the country" during an argument about wearing a mask.

Filmed on August 3, the woman - not wearing a mask - is in a heated argument with the elderly man over the lack of a mask across the aisle.

The woman says "who do you think you are?!" To which the man says "a citizen of this country."

She retorts: "How dare you say to me 'get out of this country'?!"

The argument continues when the filmer intervenes explaining that there are a number of reasons why people do not wear masks, despite the government's mandatory order on public transport, where she explains that they agitate her face.

Filmer Liam Bennett said: "A woman was in the train with her young children when an older couple confronted her about wearing masks

"When the lady was arguing loudly with the older man trying to explain why she was not wearing one the older gentleman commented she should go back to her country."

At that moment Liam stepped in to intervene.

"I believe the woman with the children got off a few stops later, it seemed to have calmed down after I stopped filming."

"No one else seemed willing or bothered to intervene!" added Liam.
