An amusing video has emerged of a street busker playing theme music for a cyclist in Atlanta, GA, US.

In the footage, captured at a downtown traffic intersection on Wednesday, the trumpeter spots the female cyclist waiting at traffic lights, before giving the filmer a thumbs up.

He then plays excerpts of inspirational sporting themes including “Gonna Fly Now” by Bill Conti – also known as the theme to the “Rocky” movie series- and a famous bugle call often used at horse races.

“Bicycle commuting through Atlanta and a girl was trackstanding on her bicycle,” the filmer later wrote online.

“The trumpet playing busker smiled and gave me a thumbs up and played the Rocky theme while she waited for the green light. As soon as she got the green she was off to the races and he played a different tune!”
