An adorable video has emerged from the US of a dog playfighting with a raccoon.

In the footage, captured in a back yard in Leesburg, Florida, ‘Rocket’ the raccoon and ‘Bijou’ the dog can be seen sharing a very special relationship.

“Rocket is a North American raccoon we saved some time ago,” the filmer later wrote online.

“At best we figure he was someone's pet and they released him into the wild. He uses a litter box and as you can see is quite tame.

“After another long session of playing tag Rocket sat on my lap to relax. Bijou apparently wasn't ready to stop!”
