Silverado Canyon residents flee as Bond Fire sweeps through Southern California

Residents were seen fleeing on Wednesday (December 2) as the Bond Fire continued to grow, burning more than 6,400 acres in the Silverado Canyon area of California.

Footage filmed around 11 pm shows queues of traffic waiting to leave and billowing flames and smoke as firefighters tackle the blaze.

The filmer told Newsflare: "Silverado Canyon residents fleeing the Bond Fire.This was taken along Silverado Canyon Road outside the Silverado Canyon Market and Post Office."

The brush fire was sparked by a house fire and is now 10 per cent contained, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
