Police detained dozens of protesters in the latest round of anti-Lukashenko demonstrations in Minsk.

Groups of police officers are seen patrolling the streets as hundreds of protesters marched through the Lebyazhye district in the capital on Sunday (December 6).

Belarusian rights group Viasna-96 have reported that at least 100 people had been detained across the country over the weekend.

The protesters are demanding the resignation of President Alexander Lukashenko.

Belarusian security forces detained dozens of people across the country on December 6 in the latest of nearly four months of demonstrations calling on authoritarian ruler Alyaksandr Lukashenka to resign.

Demonstrators gathered in Minsk and other Belarusian cities in nearly continuous protests since a disputed presidential election in August that the opposition says was rigged.

This is the third Sunday during which the demonstrations in Belarus are being held under the banner of March of Neighbors, a strategy adopted by the opposition as a way of decentralizing the protests and making it more difficult for police to round up activists.
Even women with children do not stop the riot police. This video was shot in the Lebyazhye microdistrict, where most of the protesters are women with children.
