An adorable video has emerged of one Labrador dog helping another move its lead so they can get out of a car for a walk.

The footage, from Houston, Texas, US on Saturday, shows the two in the boot of a car excitedly getting ready to visit a dog park.

One dog, Pluto, gets his lead caught on the car's boot mechanism. The owner watches on to see if they can figure it out when the other dog, Baxter, cleverly leans down and helps move it so they can leave.

The filmer later wrote online: "Baxter loves going to the dog park, a lot. Enough that he realized we couldn't leave until his leash was all the way inside the car.

"However, he wasn't prepared to wait for his brother, Pluto, to come to the same realization."
