Traffic goes by a huge 8-meter deep sinkhole that appeared in middle of busy road

Vehicles passing only a few centimeters next to a wide-open sinkhole. Footage shows crews of workers as they are trying to close the 8-meter deep hole that was created in the middle of the road, when a pipeline broke and the ground began to erode. The damage was caused in one of the main streets of Thessaloniki city, Greece, that connects the airport with the city center and when the ground began to erode. Shopkeepers maintain businesses in the area called the local authorities. Crews arrived on spot got surprised as they saw the damage goes 8 meters below their feet. Immediate restoration works started in order to stop the erosion. Railings and special markings were placed at the site while the ground was constantly receding with the depth of the hole getting larger.
