A landslide in the Norwegian town of Ask, Gjerdrum, has left at least nine people injured and houses buried on Wednesday (December 30).

Prime Minister Erna Solberg said at a press conference that 700 people have been evacuated so far and 21 remain unaccounted for.

Johnny Alves Horve (@lagunaoslo), who runs the tourist coach company Charterbuss, was hired to evacuate the residents.

The video filmed by Horve shows several emergency vehicles in Ask and a helicopter.

He told Newsflare: "I got a call from the ministry at 5 am this morning and asked if Charterbuss could assist with evacuating residents from Ask because of some incident. In 40 minutes, we were on spot with two coaches and had evacuated 200 in the first hour. Then other coaches arrived assisting.

"Elderly people, families and dogs were transported to one hotel. When this was full, we continued to other hotels close to Oslo Airport."
