An abandoned car was found drifting in the sea in western India's Maharashtra on December 30. The incident took place at the Rangaon-Bhuigaon beach in Vasai- Virar.

A video witnessing the incident features a white car floating amid the sea in broad daylight. Only the roof of the vehicle is visible as it keeps drifting away due to high tides from the beach. A few police officials can be seen attempting to rescue the automobile with the help of an excavator.

Vasai Gaon police officials found the vacant Maruti Swift floating in the sea around 500 meters (0.31 miles) away from the beach. The car was stuck in the sand, and the authorities along with fishermen, roped in to help pull it out. Locals waited for the water to recede before proceeding further.

According to the Police, the car got washed away from the Kalamb beach where some youths were partying.

It was extracted by the police officials from the Rangaon-Bhuigaon beach. Moreover, an investigation into the matter is underway while the identity of the car owner is yet to be ascertained.
