The Vashi police personnel along with the help of fire brigade officers rescued a woman from committing suicide in western India's Maharashtra on January 3. The incident took place in Vashi in Navi Mumbai.

A video witnessing the incident features a woman standing on the edge of a water tank of a building's terrace.

A female cop continuously diverts her mind with conversations so that she doesn't jump off. Following this, another officer climbs from behind and tackles her down. The female officer along with the fire brigade officers hold the lady down safely.

The locals around the area and other police officials cheer for them as they rescue her.

The 20-year-old woman who was willing to commit suicide resided with her grandparents in the city.

On Sunday afternoon, the girl was trying to jump off from a five-storey building when a woman constable named Manasi Lad was trying to talk her out of it. While she was engaged in the conversation, constables Amrut Sali and Prashant Thakur climbed from behind and held her. An investigation into the matter is underway.
