Indonesian firefighters demonstrate how to catch large pythons
A team of Indonesian firefighters on Saturday (January 2) demonstrated how to catch a large python using nothing more than an old sack.
Footage filmed in Jakarta shows a firefighter carefully covering the head of an angry snake with the sack before catching it and placing it inside.
The team was learning how to handle the reptiles using a recently caught specimen which was later relocated into the wild.
The Burmese python is found throughout Southern and Southeast Asia.
There are often seen near homes due to the presence of rats, mice, and other vermin as a food source.
