Police in Reading, Pennsylvania, arrested a man that allegedly fit the description of a robbery on Monday (January 4).

As the police hold him down, bystanders began to film the incident.

"He tried to run ma'am," the police officer told the filmer.

According to the filmer, the man did not try to run away and was only trying to move because he was hurting.

The filmer told Newsflare: "They did not need to be on top of him like that, especially since he was handcuffed, there was more than one officer on the scene for them to be able to sit him down like a true pedestrian being restrained."

As one of the police officers is holding the man down, one of the pedestrians yells, "get off his chest!"

The police officer responds, "I can't do that because he's gonna run away."

One of the police officers began to yell at the filmer and other bystanders, "shut up and get out of here... do you want to go?"

Another woman is seen arriving at the scene yelling at the officers, "all you do is abuse people!"

The filmer told Newsflare that the cops said they had a call for a robbery, and the man fit the description.
