This was the moment a female skier was caught after dangling from a ski lift for over 30 seconds in upstate New York.

Footage captured by Twitter user @SusanAshline at the Bristol Mountain Ski Resort on January 3 shows the skier dangling from the stationary ski lift metres above the ground as numerous people hold a safety tarp below her.

Eventually, she falls from the ski lift and lands safely on the ground, prompting cheers from onlookers.

Local reports claimed that the skier walked away with no injuries.

Scary moments of rescue was captured on camera at a ski resort in Upstate New York Sunday night, January 3.

Video uploaded on social media showed a female skier dangling from a ski lift at the Bristol Mountain Ski Resort in Canandaigua, and people with a safety tarp below.

In the video, the woman fell into the tarp after dangling for more than 30 seconds followed by cheering from onlookers. The woman was not injured and walked away ok, according to reports.
