Residents wade through knee-deep floodwater in Philippines
Footage shows residents and rescuers wading through knee-deep floodwaters on a hillside road in the Philippines.
The rescuers were clearing out some of the debris from the mountain while fixing a drainage path for the water in Catanduanes province on January 9.
Heavy rain has been battering the region since last month and has caused floods which have submerge several provinces in the Bicol region.
The state weather service said the continuous rain was caused by a frontal system and the surge from the northeast monsoon.
