This is the fascinating moment a rabbit manages to outwit a leopard and save its life in southeast Sri Lanka.

The incident took place at the popular Yala National Park on July 9, 2019.

Visual shows the leopard waiting patiently before pouncing on the bunny. However, keeping its cool, the rabbit manages to evade the predator and hop inside a bush.

As the leopard gives chase, the rabbit hops back and runs to safety.

The disgruntled predator is seen giving a cold stare.

The Yala National Park is the second-largest national park in the island nation.

It houses crocodiles, elephants and leopards, apart from several species of birds and other animals.
