A stunning video has emerged from Zimbabwe showing elephants wandering by a breakfast picnic.

The filmer, who was on safari in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe late last month, called it "an amazing, positive experience".

They later wrote online: "For many years now, here in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe, the community joins together to play their part in fighting wildlife poaching as we all work as one to send a message that poaching will not be tolerated here.

"This scene took place just as we had set out the picnic breakfast in the Zambezi National Park – what a privilege to experience this, as these elephants we so trusting of us as they passed by meters away!

"This kind of experience would not happen without the wildlife conservation work being done by local authorities and the community as a whole, and reflects that it is not all doom and gloom with regard to wildlife in Africa."
