Non-duty paid liquor worth Rs. 44 lakh (USD 60,489) seized by authorities in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on March 13. The incident took place in Guntur district.

A video shows a couple of workers recovering a huge amount of illicit liquor from within a tanker in broad daylight.

They carry the cartons on their shoulders and begin to assemble them on the ground. Following this, they stack the entire stock of alcohol, while the officials on the spot keep a check on them.

The Guntur Rural Special Enforcement Bureau seized 22,719 bottles of non-duty paid liquor worth Rs. 44 lakh (USD 60,489) from 523 cartons, and also confiscated their vehicles, which made up to Rs. 60 lakh (USD 82,496) in total.

The huge amount of illicit liquor was being smuggled within a cement bulker vehicle from Goa to Narasaraopet in the Guntur district. Following the incident, the officials arrested seven people regarding this case. The main accused, identified as Ramavath Ashok Nayak, was arrested in the Sangareddy in Telangana.
