An elderly couple in Uttar Pradesh, India, have attempted to forge the largest lock in the world.

Satya Prakash Sharma and his wife Rukmini are seen posing next to their lock which stands at 6 feet 2 inches with a width of 2 feet and 9.5 inches.

Along with the 300-kilogram lock, the couple made two keys that weighs close to 12 kilograms.

The couple spent almost £1,000 on making the huge lock and keys.

INDIA, Uttar Pradesh( Aligarh) Satya Prakash Sharma and his wife Rukmini has made a lock weighing over 300 kg with brass and iron in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. It took them more than a year to make the lock. The couple claims it to be the largest lock in the world. The length of this lock is 6 feet 2 inches and width 2 feet 9.5 inches.and also created a key to match the lock, which weighs close to 12 kg and is 40 inches long.The old couple have spent one year creating it and incurred a cost of close to one lakh rupees.
