'This video was taken in our home in Texas, the first time Tyler walked through the door after a 9 month deployment. Kilo was obviously excited to see him!

Our dog Kilo is quite bonded with Tyler, since he rescued him from a shelter just a short 8 months before he deployed. Kilo was dumped, emaciated with a double ear infection. The Ft. Hood shelter took him in and began nursing him back to health. We had considered adding another dog to our family, but we were waiting for the right fit. When Tyler saw Kilo the first time in the shelter, he immediately knew that was our boy. Kilo came home and within a week had settled into our family routine. He was instant friends with our dog Athena, and they remain best buds and snuggle buddies to this day. Kilo is a 75lb lap dog, who possess the power of snuggles. He is an emotional support for our entire family, so it was so heartwarming to see his reaction when his own personal hero returned home!!!
