Deaf Cricket Sports Centre in Qatar kick off training sessions
Shameel, Nizar and Ansar are trend setters in Qatar.
They are the first deaf players in Qatar who have kick started their cricket training at the Deaf Cricket Sports Centre in Qatar.
All of them hail from India, Kannur district in the Southern Indian state of Kerala.
After their first session at the Bravo Cricket Academy training venue at Wukair in Qatar they have promised to bring more deaf cricket players to the academy and get better in the batting, bowling and fielding departments.
Officials of Deaf Cricket Sports Centre like its President Christopher Raja, who incidentally is the chief of the Bravo Cricket Academy, is confident that Qatar will be able to have its own deaf cricket team in the coming months and it will be able to take part in international tournaments and keep Qatar flag high all over the world.
Incidentally, Deaf Cricket Sports Centre in Qatar is the first sports academy in Qatar to be recognized and affiliated by Deaf International Cricket Council
