This is the difficult-to-watch scene at the US-Mexico border between San Diego and Tijuana, which is now effectively a tent city as desperate migrants wait to see if they can enter the United States.

The footage from April 1 shows the tent cities shot via drone, giving a scope of the magnitude of this crisis at the border.

The filmer, Jon Schafer, also takes us through the camp to give an in-depth, first-person view of the situation.

"Is difficult to get food, water?" Jon asks via an interpreter.

"It's very difficult," he said via the interpreter.

The first 2 minutes and 45 seconds show the footage via drone and are mute.

"There have been robberies, violence," said one of the men.
