An animal rescuer saved the life of a rat snake recently that was caught in a fence in southern India.

A resident of Cuddalore City in Tamil Nadu spotted the stricken reptile tangled in netting surrounding his home on April 16 and called in the expert named Chella.

The animal rescuer quickly realised the three-foot rat snake was close to dying and carefully cut the reptile free with a pair of scissors.

The snake was released in a nearby forest.

Chella got a call from a person amed Murugan who lives in Mnjakuppam area of Cuddalore , Murugan informed him that a Rat snake is tangled in the net of his house boundary wall .
When Chella reached the spot he found that the snake is in a really bad shape and the snake don’t have much time , he has to do it fast , Chella first tried to rescue it out moving the snakes tail , but the snake was badly tangled in the net , so he used scissors to cut the net and rescue out the snake .
The snake weas so badly tangled with the net that even after it was out of the net , some parts of net get attacked to its skin . Chella cut those nets with scissors and left the snake in forest .
The Rescue happened on 16th April around 6 PM in evening
