A huge 12-foot king cobra was removed by wildlife officials after entering a village in Tamil Nadu, southern India.

Forest department officials received a call on April 22 after locals had spotted the venomous snake roaming around the village.

The cobra was eventually caught and released safely by a river.

One of the longest and the most venomous snake the King Cobra was rescued and released in a new habitation in South India.


Forest department officials got a call on the spotting of King Cobra in a human habitat. Then they rushed with a snake catcher. Its already dark when they entered the village. The snake catcher carefully checked for the giant snake. And he spotted it at last. Then he carefully caught it and said it would be around 12 feet. It came to the human habitation in search of food.

Then the catcher along with the forest department staffs took the snake to a new habitation near some river and left it over there. When the snake was released it rushed to escape.
