Chinese locals perform bizarre neck exercises by hanging from trees
Locals were spotted performing bizarre neck exercises by hanging from trees in a park in northern China.
The bizarre video, shot in the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province on May 21, shows several elderly men putting their heads into a rope harness and hanging by their necks.
They then spin their legs to stretch their necks.
According to a 57-year-old man named Song Rongchun who invented this kind of workout, the workout can help treat cervical spondylosis.
However, a doctor said specific straps and equipment are needed to treat cervical spondylosis by traction, so it is better to do it under the guidance of professionals.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
