A major tragedy got averted when a moving van caught fire in central India's Madhya Pradesh on June 4. The incident took place in Morena.

Visuals feature massive flames scaling from the vehicle on an overbridge while plumes of thick black smoke emanating from it engulf the entire area. After a few moments, the fire tenders reach the spot and douse the fire while the van gets charred due to the blaze.

A commotion occurred when the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the moving Omni van conveying loads of old batteries from Porsa to a battery house in Nainagarh. As soon as the driver, Neeraj Upadhyay, sensed flames growing out of the vehicle, he sprang out of it to save his life. However, the massive fire enveloped the van and gutted it on the spot while a team from the fire department extinguished the blaze and took control of the situation.
