Time lapse captures helicopter lifting a new antenna on to Yorkshire's tallest structure
Time lapse recorded today (7th May) shows a helicopter carrying out multiple lifting procedures on Yorkshires tallest structure.
The helicopter in use was a Kamov KA-32 twin rotor, was seen lifting sections of a new antenna onto the Arqiva Tower formerly known as Emley Moor Mast or Transmitter in West Yorkshire. The old concrete transmitter was switched off back in 2018, after a temporary mast was erected nearby the existing tower and took over broadcasting transmissions until upgrades of the old mast are completed.
The Arqiva Tower in Emley Moor is currently Yorkshire's tallest structure and stands at 329m tall. The footage was recorded between 9am & 4pm.
