The 24-hour nationwide strike took place on June 10, 2021, which was announced by GSEE and ADEDY, PAME.

In the mobilizations that took place in the center of Athens, trade unions and organizations of workers in the private and public sectors participated, as well as the unions of workers in transport and ships and students. It should be noted that public transport remained stationary.

The video shows people marching, holding banners and shouting slogans against the government and the draft legislation, which, as denounced by collective bodies abolishes 8 hours and collective labor agreements, criminalizes trade union action and falsifies the right to strike, abolishes the Labor Inspectorate and the Sunday public holiday, increases unpaid overtime and leaves the redundancies unchecked.

Koutsoumbas: "This draft legislation is doomed to the conscience of the workers."

Dimitris Koutsoumbas spoke about delegitimization in the consciousness of employees, in a statement regarding the labor draft legislation.

The Secretary General of the KKE who participated in the PAME gathering stressed: " Whatever the government does this draft legislation is doomed to the conscience of the workers. The final say now has the workers and young people, if they understand and realize their power, who can disuse it and send it where it belongs, in the trash. We are not going to live a slave life in the 21st century."
