Sahara Dust clouds the skies of the Swiss Alps, reducing visibility

A large plume of Sahara dust has again reached Switzerland saturday June 19, 2021 .
As a result visibility in the mountains is limited and the sky is very hazy.
From this viewpoint in the swiss Alps it is normally possible to see many high mountains such as Matterhorn, Grand Combin and Mont-Blanc. But all these mountains were invisible, hidden in haze from Sahara dust.
A quick look at the Barcelona Dust Forecast Center showed indeed a large plume of dust was to reach all the way to southern Germany. https://dust.aemet.es/forecast
