Orphaned albino elephant, Khanyisa, goes for a walk with HERD Founder, Adine Roode, her son Xander, and companion sheep, Lammie
Khanyisa is an orphaned albino elephant rescued in January 2020 from a poacher’s snare. She came to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (HERD) and went through three months of rehabilitation for the horrific wounds caused by the snare.
Khanyisa has made many friends along the way, including HERD Founder, Adine Roode, Adine's son, Xander, and Khanyisa's dedicated companion sheep, Lammie.
In this video, they all set out on a walk which proves to be great fun for the young orphaned elephant.
