Flying drone carries QR code for motorists to scan at checkpoint in China
A drone flew a QR code for motorists to scan at a checkpoint on a highway to save time in eastern China.
The video was filmed in the city of Yancheng in Jiangsu Province on August 2.
A drone controlled by a policewoman flew a travel QR code over the vehicles for motorists to scan at a checking point.
The travel QR code can reportedly provide the countries and domestic cities that the user travelled to in the past 14 days for free.
Since vehicles waited for a long time to be checked at some checkpoints on a highway, police officers used a drone to fly the QR code to the motorists for them to scan, reducing their waiting time.
The checking time for each vehicle was reduced from around two minutes to only five seconds.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
