A man's life was dangling by a thread after he faced the aftermath of a vigorous monsoon in central India's Madhya Pradesh on August 5. The incident took place in Dalpatpur Ghat in Khurai in the Sagar district.

Visuals feature the man wading his way through the gushing stream of water on the bridge in broad daylight while the onlookers attempt to stop him as water begins to overflow. In trying to do so, he slips after losing balance and tightly holds onto the railing to avoid getting washed away. Sadly, the raging stream sweeps him away within seconds while the cops arrive afterward to begin their investigation.

Heavy rainfall and intensified weather conditions wreaked havoc on the lives of locals in the state ever since the monsoon lashed. The unidentified man attempted to cross the bridge after the water level in the river began to rise rapidly, following which he almost got swept away with the river current. However, Khurai Police Station in-charge, Anup Singh, along with his team, have begun a search and rescue operation to locate the man.
