Aussie snake catcher removes python with bird in its mouth from guttering
A snake catcher in Buderim, Australia, removed a large python that had a bird in its mouth from a house's guttering.
Brendan West films the snake dangling from the roof of a house with its body tightly wrapped around a bird.
West then films Stuart McKenzie approach the snake, carefully remove it from the gutter and place it into a bag.
McKenzie said: "So, this python had a bird in its possession while it was hanging from a high gutter! It was a nice flat roof to walk on, thankfully. However, I had to be very careful as I scooped the snake up near the edge.
"The snake had only just grabbed the bird, so I carefully manoeuvred it into the bag and it didn’t drop the bird, which was great! Usually, I would wait for the snake to finish and swallow its meal. However, it was in an awkward position, so I wanted to act fast. It was a success!"
This footage was filmed on August 1.
