A reptile catcher removed a tree snake from a family's Toyota car.

The animal rescue team was called for help when a family spotted a green serpent slithering inside their sedan in Ang Thong province on June 27.

One of the volunteers found the snake inside the engine and used her bare hands to pull it out as it was not venomous.

Footage shows the snake wrangler carefully taking the 3ft-long snake from its hiding space.

Car owner Somchai Kaewsuk, 37, said: ‘I saw a green snake falling down from the tree behind my house. Then, it slithered to the garage and went into the car's engine so I decided to call the rescuers to ask for help.'

The snake was taken to the wild by the rescuers for release. No one was hurt in the incident.
